Tips & Recommendation for October

Stop getting serious too late!

“The key to success is to start before you are ready” -Marie Forleo

3 TIPS FROM DOUG

1. Utilize Tools & Resources

Instead of constantly trying to invent a spreadsheet, document, or planner that works for your needs, utilize the tools and resources that are available! A tool GPS uses is Asana, a web and mobile application designed to help teams organize, track, and manage their work. Another resource we love using is the 12 Week Year which helps us treat each 12-week plan the way many treat their 12-month plan! We are able to accomplish more in those 12 weeks by using this resource than most do in a whole year.

2. It’s Never Too Late

It’s never too late to start, so start now! Commonly people wait till the New Year, new month, or new week to start something. However, there is no better time than right now! If we continue to wait for the “right time” we could be waiting forever. Seize the moment!

3. Do Something

Although it may feel like doing it perfectly is the only option, it in fact is not. Trying to achieve perfection on something that can lead us to procrastinate even more. Start by tackling the thought that is holding you back from getting started. Once you’ve done that, hop off of the procrastination train and do something, and start somewhere. Doing something is better than not doing anything at all. You get more results when you take action than if you do nothing.
